The room is simple but clean and has a lot more charm and class than a Motel 6. It's close to everything and the staff is very nice. A lot of bang for your buck.
The hotel is right on Market and my room, while just fine with a nice view, was unavoidably noisy. The street traffic, the screaming drunks and street people, the honking horns and the rumble of the cable car made it hard for this suburban guy to get a full night's sleep.
Very helpful friendly staff. Centrally located to many sites and easy access to the BART if you are not driving. Hotel is old but has a lot of character. Decently priced for budget traveler, I would stay the next time I went to San Fran.
Only thing was the BBQ smell in the room from the room below and the water pressure from the shower.
The front desk staff were excellent. We were given a lot of advice on places of interest in San Fran by the female at the front desk along with ways of getting around. We were there on a stopover and had no idea of all the things taking place that weekend until she let us know.
We took the BART from the airport and walking from the Civic Center stop along Market street to the hotel was somewhat shoddy until you came upon the small little block that the Edwardian was on.
close to airport, shopping clean value friendly staff
This Hotel was lovely. The staff were friend and very helpful. If I was going back to San Fran I would stay there great location.
I loved this place!!! The staff was absoloutly amazing!!! The young lady was super sweet she even offered to park my car. Then I had forgot my I.d and they brought it up to me...the room was sooooo adorable and nice. Everything was clean and tidy. I am definatly staying here again.
The location was near the opera house and the civic center
Tiny room, grungy look and feel to the entire hotel.
Very good hotel and the location was excellent.
Remins me of a Parisian hotel
The parking and street access
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The locaion was excellent - right next to a tram stop, and a very good cafe!
Well there were some issues with my hot water as it is such an old building but the staff went out of their way to solve that for me, so all good
Great location. Streetcar stop in front of hotel. 2 excellent restaurants and wine bar on the same block.
Could hear conversations in the next room..
Location was great Great info at front desk Hotel pick up close
Alot of homeless people around
It was fairly close to BART, somewhat easy to find. Assistant manager was super friendly.
Charging for Internet! Cleaning staff comes at 4:00pm, when most people are returning not super smart. The hotel was not far from a rather large group of addicts / recovering addicts. I later found out the hotel is in the tenline district.
Wes and Dawn made me feel very welcome at the Edwardian and we had many a friendly chat while they provided me with maps and directions to where I needed to go. Wes also pointed out a coffee shop near by where I was also able to get a discount by mentioning the hotel. I had several friends visit me at the hotel during my stay who were impressed enough to say that they would seriously consider staying at the Edwardian Hotel on their next SF vacation due to the friendly service and boutique feel of my room.
I would have liked a small bedside lamp and tea and coffee making facilities in my room but this was a minor concern given the overall level of comfort.
Friendly staff. Good location. The old elevator is a fun blast from the past !
Rooms were clean and comfortable, but small. No closet. Bathrooms were nice, clean, and upgraded.
